Wed 28th October, 2015, Tema: The newly crowned queen of Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2015, Miss Vera Oheneba Safoah (Esi) together with the three other finalists (Sika, Afariwa and Fafa) and Management of TV3 paid a courtesy call on the management and staff of GTP to express their appreciation to the company for its continuous support of the GMB pageant. GTP has a been the sole costume sponsor of the GMB pageant since the 4th season in 2010.
The Managing Director of Tex Styles Ghana Limited, the company behind the GTP brand, Mr Kofi Boateng welcomed the queen, her colleagues and the management of TV3 to the premises of GTP. He congratulated the contestants for putting up such splendid show. He expressed GTP’s anticipation of next year’s pageant when GMB turns 10 years. He hinted that GTP will be 50 years old in 2016 and therefore both brands could join hands to celebrate such important milestones in a grand style.
Speaking on behalf of her colleagues, Esi thanked the Management of GTP for the immense support they received during their 13 week stay in the house. She was full of praise for GTP Nustyle and urged Ghanaians to patronize GTP and help the economy of Ghana. The Management of TV3 was represented by Sandra Bonsu who led the team. She extended TV3’s appreciation to the management of GTP.
The management of GTP seized the opportunity to present GTP Nustyle fabrics to all 4 contestants. The queen, the 1st and 2nd runners up received 36 yards of GTP Nustyle each representing three months wardrobe and Fafa received two pieces of Nustyle. As part of their prize package, the queen will receive 12 yards of GTP Nustyle every month during her period of reign while Sika gets 12 yards every month for 6 months. The ladies took a tour of the factory to have a basic appreciation of how the colourful prints they wear are made. They were taken round by no less a person than the Technical Director of GTP, Dr Daniel van Wassenhove. After all was done, the queen and her entourage were given a special treat of sumptuous lunch by the Marketing Director of GTP, Rev Stephen Kofi Badu at one of the best restaurants in the port city of Tema.
